DO IT (if You dare)
is a super-Flux project which presents selected artists who present themselves. The artists of 'DO IT (if You dare)' are selected by super-Flux on the basis of their original attitude and courage in comparison to mainstream contemporary artists.
In May 2005 I began a project which consisted in sending family and friends a daily image of my thoughts. From the months of May 2005 - June 2005 and then from Oct. 2005 - Dec. 2005 ; I made drawings almost every day - on small A4 papers, which I would then send to everyone the same day. It all began, because I got tired of people asking me "when is your next show?" . so, I said to myself, "why wait till the next show to show people my work ?"; so, I decided to bring the show to the people.

I found it more interesting, because everyone would be able to follow the evolution of my ideas as I go along. It was a journey, which involved the spectator and me. I was also free to express all my inspiration without any censorship from anyone. I gave myself - as they say in French - "Carte Blanche". I was totally free to express my innermost feelings. Their complaints or comments would also affect the course of my inspiration. There were days on which I would create one drawing, and sometimes three or seven. It was basically a visual diary; Each "Diary" had its own title.
The first one I began was : "JOURNAL OF THE WEEK"; 2nd: "PREMONITION OF A MADMAN"; 3rd: "SECRET DIARY OF A PSYCHOPATH"; 4th: "SECRET DIARY OF A SOLDIER"; 5th: "MAN ON FIRE" and then the 6th : "MAN IN LOVE".
These drawings are my most recent works on paper, so here we go, I hope you enjoy it.
Very interesting Mr. Kakudji! You are a great African artist. You can work for me.
