Copy - Mobius Beard CD/LP
After some years of rocking the dance floor on the turntables and hiding in his studio developing his craft, the artist known as Copy (aka Portland, Oregon's Marius Libman) busts out the gate with a well developed and essential sound. It's a subtly different feel that's at home on the dance floor as well as the headphones: part disco, part instrumental pop and part baroque electro, that falls somewhere between Ratatat's upbeat triumphant numbers, Dabrye's deceptively simple melodics, and Yellow Magic Orchestra’s orchestral 8-bit.
