Lump gallery / projects kicks off its tenth year with Where We Meet, a new installation by Keepsake Society’s Chris Duncan. The project room will feature Hot and Cold: 4Real.

Chris Duncan returns to Lump gallery / projects for his first solo show titled Where We Meet. Based out of Oakland, California, Chris has been slowly transforming the intricate line work found in his paintings and drawings into elaborate string installations, using the gallery space as his surface, and vividly colored-string as his drawing implements. By removing the tangible paper surfaces from his work,Duncanin turn, champions the transient, momentary and ephemeral nature of our world.

The Works of Anthony Coleman

Composer-keyboardist Anthony Coleman performs, records, and inspires throughout the world. Whether as a bandleader, a sideman, or solo pianist, the work of Anthony Coleman forms an important contribution and has helped to shape and influence the course of New York's Downtown Music scene over the last two decades. He is noted among the key luminaries of Free Improvisation, and his interest in Eastern European musical traditions helped to create what is now known as Radical Jewish Culture.

Please join us on this extraordinary night with several of Downtown's virtuosos gathering together to accompany Coleman on a musical expedition covering twenty years of work. Musicians include Doug Weiselman, Jim Pugliese, Mike Sarin, Greg Cohen, Ted Reichman, Roy Nathanson, Fred Lonberg-Holm, Michael Attias, and Marco Cappelli.

celluloid visions.  The following collection of nonfiction and experimental films, spanning over three decades in their making, explores the various landscapes - cultural, social and geographic - that constitute the City of Angels.

“trick or treat” is phon.o and kevin ‘just don’t bust my bladder’ blechdom's answer to 50cent in the candy shop.  this may already be a hit or halloween, and this song should be mentioned in one breath with the foot stank of usher, timbaland and the neptunes, whereas kevin blechdom smells more like missy elliott and destiny's child. four years ago an american named kevin blechdom moved to berlin in order to study “german genitalia”.
