Repellent is a multi-faced art and culture whirlwind organization focusing on shining a flashlight on underground and DIY photography, music, design, art and style.
From our bunker in New York City we reach out to the world to uncover the best of what is growing up through the pavement.
In the past, Repellent has published three issues of Repellent magazine, hosted a variety of events (including Repellent Festival, a five-day series which included a gallery exhibition and several live-DJ performances by over 60 participants and over 2000 attending, regular club nights, and a special performances by Kid 606, Pixeltan, Daniel Givens, San Serac, Abe Duque and more), and produced a number of one-off projects (including the Repellent Poster Project and Sonic Rec Room, a compilation CD released through Codek records, and Style Sports, an interactive fashion performance).
We are currently working predominantly through our website and plotting new projects…please have a glance around and tell us what sort of no-good you are up to.
